There has been an increasing emphasis on improving rural education by recruiting high-quality faculty. In recent years, more and more young people with overseas education backgrounds are willing to volunteer in rural schools in order to better promote education equity in underdeveloped areas. Their education insights, overseas learning experiences are great assets for rural schools’ development. In this panel, we will further discuss the role international student plays in strengthening rural education. Our guest speakers will discuss their understandings of rural education, current problems they encounter, and corresponding solutions by sharing their personal stories. Participants will not only hear the practical work students can do infield but also learn about how to support children from underdeveloped areas online through a variety of forms.
