我们将探求脱离物理教室空间限制范围的幼儿教育——“森林学校”(Forest school),将课堂放在自然环境中,教学的内容和方法都以自然环境为基础,让孩子能在自然环境中释放天性并且自由地探索和学习。相对于传统教室这种较为封闭的活动空间,在自然中进行教学也能够让孩子更好的理解一些在书本上平面化的知识内容,让他们更直接和直观的接触到所学的知识。森林学校的模式起源于丹麦,并且在丹麦的学前教育领域获得了巨大的成功。与在局限于传统教学空间的孩子相比,参加了森林学校的孩子在领导力,团队合作,思辨力,想象力和身体健康的方面有非常显著的提高。

在科普自然教育的基础上,基于中美两国的国情,我们将更深层次的讨论如何将自然教育迁移到中美两国的幼儿教育中,例如教学管理以及对于教师的要求和成本,教育理念和教育实践的转化,以及将自然教育的理念运用到家庭教育,真正意义上做到家园共育的方法。同时,如何把自然放进现有的教室教学中等问题也将在本次论坛中进行扩展。

About

This panel will explore the method to incorporate natural education into preschool education. First, this panel will discuss education that gets rid of the limitation of physical classroom space and introduces a new preschool education program--Forest School. Forest school tries to place the class into natural settings, which provides kids with unlimited opportunities to explore and enjoy themselves in nature. During children’s exploration, they are able to learn subject-related knowledge that accord with the curriculum standards. Meanwhile, according to general studies focused on forest school education and its impact on young learners, kids who attend the forest school program gain extraordinary skills in leadership, collaboration, critical thinking, imagination, and high improvement of physical mobility. 

To develop the topic in-depth, this panel expects a further conversation on how to apply the natural education idea to preschool level both in China and the United States, concerning various cultural backgrounds.
